Michelle Belton Joins Host Brandon Charles on 96.7 WERA Radio Show "Breaking Boundaries"
Brandon Charles is the host of the radio show "Breaking Boundaries", where Charles and his guests discuss disability issues and how people are overcoming these challenges and thriving in modern society despite them.
The show, which airs weekly on Arlington, VA-based WERA 96.7 FM, features Charles interviewing both guests which are challenged with a disability themselves, as well as people in the community who are active in disability advocacy or working in a related position.
The latest episode of "Breaking Boundaries" featured Michelle L. Belton, CDP, CAEd, owner of Companion Home Care Inc based in Roanoke, VA. Belton has been volunteering for seniors and adults with disabilities for over 20 years. She started Companion Home Care Inc in 2004 following her experience volunteering for the local Roanoke, VA chapter of Meals on Wheels.
Belton advocates for a personal approach to caring for adults and seniors with disabilities, matching each of her home care clients with the best caregivers for their individual needs, desires, and limitations.
Belton and Charles discussed Belton's own personal experiences with disabled clients, as well as some of the misconceptions that people have about adults living with disabilities.
